You should come to a complete stop and give the right of way to a pedestrian:
- When a pedestrian is in a marked crosswalk.
- When a pedestrian is on your side of the road, in an unmarked crosswalk with no traffic control signals.
- On school days, when children are around school zone crosswalk.
- When turning at any intersection.
- When legally turning on a red light after coming to a complete stop.
- When coming to a complete stop (stop sign or flashing red signal light) at an intersection.
- When a pedestrian comes into a crosswalk before it is allowed by traffic lights.
- When a pedestrian is leaving or entering a street from an alley, private road or driveway.
- When a pedestrian is getting into an intersection with a flashing yellow arrow.
- As a driver, you must also yield to construction and maintenance area workers as well as to persons with any disabilities.
