The back seat is the safest place in the car. The front seat has to be moved as far back as possible if there is a need for an older child to ride in the front.
To secure the head from contact with a quickly inflating airbag, use a child restraint with a complete harness system or a properly fitted vehicle shoulder/lap belt.
Passengers who are not secured with a seat belt or sit too close to airbags can suffer serious injuries, even in minor collisions.
