Always fasten your safety belt. All you passengers must have a safety belt or child seat. Safety belts have different functions. They decrease the number of injuries and deaths in accidents and help you keep control of your vehicle. It is against the law to drive with no safety belt.
How to wear the safety belt properly:
- Put the shoulder harness across your shoulder and chest. It should be tight. Do not put it under your arm or behind your back.
- Fasten the lap belt and low across your hips. This way you will not slide out of the belt in a crash.
